Ombre/Powder Brows
Service Description
Ombre brows are a semi-permanent eyebrow styling technique that creates a soft, shaded gradient effect, resembling the look of softly filled-in eyebrows. The technique involves using a small, specialised machine that deposits pigment into the skin, with a lighter application at the front of the brow and gradually becoming darker towards the tail. This gives the brows a more natural and defined appearance without the harshness of solid, blocky lines. Unlike microblading, which mimics hair-like strokes, ombre brows focus on a powdered effect, making them a great option for those who prefer a more polished makeup look or have oily skin, where microblading may not hold as well. Ombre Brows Aftercare Tips: Keep the Brows Dry: Just like with microblading, it's important to keep your ombre brows dry for the first 7-10 days. Avoid getting them wet during showers, and refrain from activities that cause excessive sweating, such as intense exercise. Moisture can affect the pigment's ability to settle properly. Apply Aftercare Ointment: Your technician will provide an ointment or balm to apply to your brows during the healing process. Apply a thin layer as directed, typically twice a day, to keep the skin moisturized and to promote healing. Avoid over-application, as this can suffocate the skin and delay healing. Avoid Makeup and Sun Exposure: Do not apply makeup to your brows or the surrounding area during the healing process, as this can introduce bacteria and cause infections. Additionally, protect your brows from direct sunlight, as UV rays can cause the pigment to fade prematurely. Wearing a hat or using a sunscreen specifically safe for tattoos can help. Do Not Pick or Scratch: It’s normal for the brows to scab and itch slightly as they heal, but avoid picking, scratching, or peeling the scabs. Let them fall off naturally to prevent patchiness or uneven color retention. Avoid Facial Treatments: Steer clear of any facial treatments, such as peels, facials, or laser treatments, for at least 4 weeks after the procedure to ensure your brows heal properly and the pigment sets well. Schedule a Touch-Up: A touch-up session is usually recommended 6-8 weeks after the initial procedure to refine the shape, color, and intensity of your ombre brows. This session is crucial for achieving the desired long-term results.
